Reporting to the Field Supervisor, you will: 1. Perform functions in and around properties as required. 2. Perform a variety of property maintenance and repair tasks some of which are major repairs and maintenance and renovation operations. 4. Maintain a proficient level of safety practices and procedures in properties. 5. Maintain proper property quality and control consistent with the company mission. 6. Operate safely all power and hand tools as required. 7. Interact with customers in a professional manner. 8. Answer telephone inquiries, taking messages and/or referring to appropriate source. 9. Respecting your skilled trade, perform maintenance and repairs to building systems. 10. Participate in various upgrading and training programs. 11. Willingness to travel between various job sites. 12. Perform other duties consistent with the classification as assigned.
Qualifications
a. Experience in the operation of power and hand tools is required. b. Verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate information to others, including colleagues and property owners. c. Written communication skills with ability to produce and complete written documents. d. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. e. Interpersonal skills with the ability to interact satisfactorily with customers. f. Knowledge of materials and supplies related to the position is desired. g. Knowledge of the occupational hazards and the safety precautions and regulations that are applicable.
Conditions
1. The successful candidate must maintain legal eligibility to work in Canada. 2. A Police Information Check (Vulnerable Sector) and Child Abuse Registry Check satisfactory to the employer will be required from the successful candidate, at their expense. 4. Must be able to work various flexible hours on a 24 hour per day, 6 days per week basis. 6. Must be willing and able to move sites per Management direction based on operational needs. 7. Must be able to work in both warm and cold environments and be free of any respiratory problems or susceptibility to infection which may hamper job performance. 8. Must be physically capable of performing the duties of the position, including the ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, and work at heights, in confined spaces or in a warm or cold environment. 9. The successful applicant(s) will be required to provide CSA approved personal protective safety boots (Six (6) inches above the ankle) and an equipped work vehicle at their own expense. 10. Must have a valid driver's license or be willing to get one within reasonable time when hired.
